Tiger Woods PGA Championship Win | 2000 Tournament Highlights
The 82nd edition of the PGA Championship was held for the second time at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky and was won by defending champion Tiger Woods with a -18 under par, after a 3-hole playoff victory against Bob May. The playoff occurred on holes 16, 17 and 18. Tiger's birdie on hole 16 proved to be the difference as both golfers otherwise made par across the board. Tiger and May set a PGA Championship record with their -18 under par finishes to that point. This also marked the first time a golfer had successfully defended their PGA Championship title since 1937. Thomas Bjorn finished 3rd in regulation at -13.
