The 87th edition of the PGA Championship was held for the first time at the Baltusrol Golf Club Lower Course in Springfield, New Jersey and was won by Phil Mickelson with a -4 under par. Phil shot a 67, 65, 72 and a final round score of 72 to finish one stroke of ahead of runner-ups Thomas Bjorn and Steve Elkington who tied for 2nd at -3. Davis Love III and Tiger Woods tied for 4th at -2. The final round was stopped early on Sunday due to rain delays and finished up on Monday. Tiger Woods was criticized for going home Sunday night before the conclusion of the tournament.
