The 88th edition of the PGA Championship was held at the Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois and was won for the third time by Tiger Woods with a -18 under par. Tiger previously won this event in 1999 and 2000. It also marked his second consecutive major win; he won the The Open Championship four weeks prior. Tiger shot a 69, 68, 65 and a final round score of 68 to finish 5 strokes better than runner-up and 2003 champion Shaun Michael, who finished in 2nd at -13. Luke Donald, Sergio Garcia and Adam Scott tied for 3rd at -12. This tournament's No. 3 course was the longest course to date in major championship history.
